The employee-owners of PBI-Gordon announced today that Brian Aynardi has joined the company as manager of university and contract research for the northeastern U.S.
Based near State College, Pa., Aynardi will be responsible for coordinating all research protocols, technical assistance to cooperators, and product support for end-users in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and West Virginia.
Aynardi holds a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from The Pennsylvania State University, where he developed conventional and quantitative PCR detection methods for Sclerotinia homoeocarpa, the pathogen causing dollar spot of turfgrass. While completing his graduate work, he helped in the development of trial protocols, fungicide applications and data collection, analyses, and reporting for research collaborators. Aynardi earned his Bachelor of Science in Turfgrass Science with a minor in Plant Pathology from Penn State.
